Joey Jordison, real name Nathan Jonas Jordison, was an American musician and songwriter, best known as the drummer, co-songwriter and one of the founding members of the metal band Slipknot, as well as guitarist for horror punk band Murderdolls.

Jordison suffered from a disease called acute transverse myelitis. He died in his sleep on July 26, 2021, at the age of 46, as stated by his family the next day. Jordison is buried at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Also his former band mate Paul Gray is buried at the same graveyard.
