NORNES

Norane (local Noradn) is a series of villages in the municipality of Sogndal in Vestland, Norway. They lie in succession along the Norafjord from Fatlaberget to Stedjeberget. In the middle lies Uri (a rocky slope) which separates those outside from those inside. At the 2001 census, there were 645 people living in the Norum subarea. The villages, from outermost to innermost, are: Outer and Inner Slinde, Nornes, Ylmeim, Fimreite on the south side, Ylvisåker, Fardal, Øvstedalen, and Øyragrendi.
