The Cave Rock Club is a rock and metal bar and small live music venue on Prinsengracht in central Amsterdam, Netherlands. With a capacity of around 135 people, it is a compact pub with a strong hard rock and heavy metal identity. The venue describes itself as a “Heavy Metal Heaven”, with rock and metal forming the core of both the soundtrack and the live programme.
The Cave has a distinctive handmade look, with colourful rock-themed artwork covering much of the exterior and interior. The decoration extends across the walls and even onto the ceiling, filling the small room with band imagery, skulls and other heavy-metal motifs. A compact stage sits at the end of the pub, placing bands close to the audience during concerts.
Live music is a regular part of the venue, with smaller underground rock and metal bands appearing alongside normal bar nights. The limited space gives the shows an intimate atmosphere, while the rest of the week The Cave functions as a relaxed gathering place for rock and metal fans.
