In 1977, AC/DC made their music video for “Let There be Rock”. The church seen in the music video is a former church called The Kirk Church in Surry Hills, an inner-east suburb of Sydney. Here, you can see Bon Scott singing from the church’s pulpit. The church was erected in 1879 and, at some point during the late 70s, it was deconsecrated and became a concert venue. During the 80s, it was used for wild parties by Dominatrix Madame Lash, before she sold the church in 2022.
