Motörhead frontman Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister (1945–2015) is interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park – Hollywood Hills, in a wall niche within the Courts of Remembrance columbaria (Columbarium of Sacred Trust). His 3D-printed urn—modelled on his trademark cavalry hat and engraved “Born to lose, lived to win”—was placed there following the memorial service on 9 January 2016. The spot is close to Ronnie James Dio’s sarcophagus, so many fans visit both in one stop. Over the years, portions of Lemmy’s ashes have also been shared with close friends and installed at a few of his favourite haunts, but Forest Lawn is the principal resting place.
