Nidaros Cathedral is without a doubt Norway’s most famous cathedral. It was built over a 230-year period, from 1070 to 1300, when it was substantially completed. Not only has it been featured as cover art by one famous Norwegian band, but by at least two. The most famous cover is, of course, Mayhem’s ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas.’ Additionally, TNT’s cover for ‘Intuition’ features Nidaros Cathedral.
