The Bartons Arms is a Grade II listed pub built from 1901 and stands as a historic landmark in the Aston area of Birmingham. With its original lavish Victorian-Edwardian interior — featuring stained glass windows, engraved mirrors, and tiled walls — The Bartons Arms was named one of The Top 10 Most Historic Pubs in the UK by The Guardian newspaper.
The pub also boasts a rich history of serving famous patrons such as the legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, the immortal Charlie Chaplin (also from Birmingham), and of course, Black Sabbath in their youth — just across the road from the building where the lads first played together. Ozzy Osbourne’s childhood home is not far from The Bartons Arms.
