The Battle of Fimreite Memorial Stone is dedicated to the battle that took place in 1184 and is one of the most famous battles of the post viking era. For fans of metal it is mostly famous for being in two of the cover art work to Windir. The album “1184”, named after the battle that took place in Fimreite, have a painting by I. C. Dahl on the cover where the stone can be seen. Also the album, “Valfar, ein windir”, have the stone behind Valfar.
