There’s an apartment building in Mersin, Turkey, with a giant neon Metallica logo on its roof — often simply called the ‘Metallica Building’. No, the famous thrashers didn’t bankroll it. The building was developed by Mosbah Drav and his construction company, Nirvana İnşaat, as an ode to the band he loves. At fifteen storeys, the logo is visible from afar.
