Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg (16 October 1972 – 16 September 2025), also known as “Goatspell”, was a Swedish vocalist who fronted several extreme metal bands, most notably At the Gates, but also Grotesque, Lock Up, Skitsystem, The Crown, and Nightrage.

He was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma in December 2023 and died from the disease on 16 September 2025, aged 52. A memorial concert was held on 6 December 2025 in Gothenburg, where members of Dark Tranquillity, The Halo Effect, and The Crown performed in celebration of Lindberg’s legacy. All proceeds from ticket sales went to Cancerfonden and the Gardens of Grief fund. Tomas Lindberg is buried at Östra kyrkogården in Gothenburg, and his tombstone bears the word “Go!” at the top.
