Bar 38 is a rock bar and live music venue in Puente Alto, part of the Santiago metropolitan area in Chile. Active since the mid-2000s, the venue marked 18 years of activity in 2025.
More than an ordinary bar, Bar 38 has an established role as a small concert space for rock, punk, and metal. It has hosted bands such as Nuclear and Sterbhaus, and has also staged Thrash Metal Fest events, placing it firmly within the heavier end of Santiago’s live music circuit.
Bar 38 is closely associated with the Chilean underground rather than mainstream nightlife. Its standing in the scene is reflected in the live album “Bar 38” by Los Miserables, linking the venue to one of Chile’s best-known punk bands and underlining its place in the country’s alternative music culture.
