Spoilers is a rock bar and small live music venue in Digbeth, Birmingham, England. Opened in 2025, it combines punk rock, cult films, arcade culture and late-night drinking in the former Kerryman pub.
The building has a longer pub history than the Spoilers name. The Kerryman was a long-running Irish pub in Digbeth, and the premises had also previously been known as the Roscommon Bar. After the Kerryman closed in 2022, the building stood empty before being renovated and reopened as Spoilers.
The new bar kept parts of the old pub character while adding a much stronger alternative identity. The interior is built around cult cinema, punk and rock culture, with film references, music memorabilia, retro arcade machines and a screen used for cult-film events.
Spoilers also has a small stage for live music. The programme centres on punk, hardcore, alternative rock and heavier underground music, with local and touring bands appearing in a compact room suited to close, loud shows.
The venue is also known for its rooftop terrace, giving the bar an outdoor space above the Digbeth street level. Together with the arcade machines, film screen and live stage, this gives Spoilers more than one focus during the night.
Opening hours are part of the identity. Spoilers runs late, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, when the bar can stay open into the early morning. This places it naturally within Digbeth’s alternative nightlife, close to other rock, punk and metal-friendly bars in the area.
