Råhuset is a small live music venue at Onkel Dannys Plads 7 in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Operating as a concert venue since 2006, it has a capacity of around 150 people and focuses strongly on alternative, independent and emerging music. The programme covers rock, punk, hardcore, metal, experimental music, jazz and electronic music, with concerts organised both by the venue itself and in cooperation with independent promoters.

The venue occupies a building dating from 1879 in Den Brune Kødby, the oldest part of Copenhagen’s former meatpacking district. The complex was built by Copenhagen Municipality to centralise the city’s livestock and meat industry, and the building that now houses Råhuset was originally used for veterinary inspection. The surrounding industrial architecture has been preserved as part of Onkel Dannys Plads, which today contains music, art and community spaces. The name Råhuset reflects the raw, utilitarian character of the former industrial building.

The concert room is a compact 120-square-metre black-box space with a low stage measuring approximately 5.4 by 2.2 metres. Exposed surfaces and a simple interior retain much of the building’s industrial character, while professional sound and lighting equipment support regular live shows. Råhuset is operated through Copenhagen Municipality’s cultural organisation for Vesterbro and relies on volunteers for several aspects of the venue’s day-to-day activity.

Heavy music is a regular part of the programme, with death, black, thrash, doom and hardcore appearing alongside the broader alternative schedule. Recent concerts have included Warp Chamber and Degraved through Killtown Bookings, Castle, Panzerfaust and Nexion, while Danish underground bills have featured Sola Mortem, Torement, Smertetærskel, Wolfhead, Hollow Point and Quantum Solaris. The annual Blackwork Tattoo Convention has also used Råhuset for heavy concerts, including funeral doom and sludge acts such as Bethmoora and GRAVA.
