Ravens 7.Himmel is a rock and metal pub at Bierstraße 20 in the historic centre of Saarlouis, Germany. The present bar brings together the histories of two local rock pubs. Ravens was founded on 6 January 2018 as a meeting place for the local rock and metal community, while 7. Himmel had already operated for several years as a rock-oriented pub in Saarlouis’ Altstadt.

Ravens developed around concerts, parties and community events from the beginning. Regular customers helped renovate the original premises before opening, while local band Almost Indie performed at the opening celebration. The bar subsequently hosted both local musicians and visiting artists, with American musician Danny Attack becoming its first performer from the United States in November 2018.

During the COVID shutdown in 2020, Ravens continued its music activities through livestreamed performances. The following years brought further difficulties, including water damage after pandemic restrictions had been lifted. The original Ravens premises eventually closed permanently on 20 March 2023, although the name continued through merchandise and the community surrounding the bar.

In early 2025, Ravens found a new home at the existing 7. Himmel pub. Both identities were retained when the venue reopened as Ravens 7.Himmel, combining the established 7. Himmel location with the community and activities that had developed around Ravens.

Rock, punk and heavy metal remain central to the bar. Live performances, DJ nights and band karaoke form part of the programme, with the karaoke setup allowing participants to perform vocals, guitar, bass and drums. The interior retains the rough, informal character of a traditional rock pub, while Ravens merchandise and branded products remain part of the identity.

One of the bar’s own products is Himmelrot, a cherry mead made with honey, sour cherry juice and ginger. Together with the live music, karaoke and the combined history of Ravens and 7. Himmel, it has become part of the character of the current venue.
