Speak Easy is a long-running hard rock and metal pub in Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district, in operation since 1987. It’s a no-frills, underground-leaning place with a playlist centred on metal and related scenes (including punk and German rock), and it’s widely described as a proper “Hard’n’Heavy” bar rather than a general cocktail spot. The venue also gets used for metal meet-ups and aftershow-style nights, and it’s commonly noted as a smoking bar where smoking indoors is allowed.
