Der Daiwel Rock Bar is a rock and heavy metal bar in Fredericksburg, Texas. It opened in 2013 on Main Street in a town better known for German heritage tourism, wine tasting and country-oriented nightlife. The name comes from a Luxembourg expression, and the bar was founded by sisters Carole and Vicky Whipple.
The bar is built around hard rock and heavy metal, with a dark interior, rock-themed drinks and regular live music. Its heavier profile gives Fredericksburg a different kind of nightlife address, set apart from the town’s more familiar image of wine bars, tourist restaurants and country music.
Der Daiwel has become one of the clearest rock and metal stops in the Texas Hill Country, combining small-town bar culture with a deliberately harder musical identity.
