Eric Carr’s grave can be found in Newburgh, in the state of New York. Born Paul Charles Caravello, he replaced founding member Peter Criss in Kiss in 1980 and played drums with the band until his death in 1991. Before joining Kiss, his career included playing with punk singer Wendy O. Williams and the band Bionic Boogie. After a struggle with heart cancer, he passed away in 1991. Carr is interred in a mausoleum at Cedar Hill Cemetery in the town of Newburgh, New York.
On his tomb, Caravello is written in large letters, with Eric Carr 1950–1991 inscribed below in smaller letters.
