JOHN BONHAM’S GRAVE

John Bonham’s grave lies in the churchyard of St Michael’s Church in Rushock, Worcestershire, near Droitwich and Kidderminster. Bonham was the drummer for Led Zeppelin and is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time. He died on September 25, 1980, at the age of 32, after choking on his own vomit following heavy drinking. His ashes were interred here shortly afterwards.

The grave itself is modest, often decorated with fan tributes such as drumsticks or cymbals. This is a small rural site with very limited parking and no facilities; the church is sometimes open during the day with a visitors’ book. Please visit respectfully and in daylight hours.
