ADRIAN RUGINĂ’S GRAVE

Adrian Rugină’s grave is located in the commune of Corbu, Harghita County, where he was buried with military honours following the Colectiv nightclub fire of 30 October 2015. Visitors often come quietly to pay respects to the former Bucium drummer and festival crew member who helped shape Romania’s metal scene behind the stage. Please treat the rural site with care and observe local customs and hours.

Rugină is remembered as one of the heroes of the Colectiv tragedy. Eyewitnesses reported that he managed to escape the burning venue, but went back inside to help others and was overcome by smoke—an act for which Romania’s president posthumously awarded him the National Order for Merit (Knight).

At Rockstadt Extreme Fest, one of the main stages bears his name, and organisers make a point of visiting his resting place each year as part of an ongoing tribute to the fans, crew and artists lost in the fire.

As a musician, Rugină played drums with Bucium, including on the 2008 album Voievozii. His headstone features a carved drum kit, a simple but moving nod to his lifelong dedication to music.
