JIMI HENDRIX MEMORIAL

The Jimi Hendrix Memorial is a permanent gravesite and family monument inside Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, Washington. The structure is a roughly 30-foot granite dome supported by three pillars, with etched portraits and lyric panels; Hendrix’s original headstone is remounted within the newer monument, and family plots surround the site. A small sundial sits just outside the entrance. Developed by the Hendrix family, the memorial was completed in 2003.

Grounds are generally accessible during daylight; check the cemetery’s guidance for current hours and etiquette. On arrival, follow signs to the memorial circle in the south-west corner of the cemetery.

Fans often leave plectrums, notes and small tributes at the guitar sculpture and base—please be respectful and follow posted rules.
