The Jimi Hendrix Café is a small, laid-back café in the village of Diabat just outside Essaouira, decorated with Hendrix-inspired art and local memorabilia. Expect lots of paintings and photos of Jimi throughout the room. The spot trades on the area’s Hendrix lore linked to a brief 1969 visit to Essaouira/Diabat, where he visited friends staying in the village. It’s a simple stop for coffee, juices and light bites after the beach, horse-riding or quad tours. Alcohol isn’t served.
