CHANGE YOUR LIFE – BERLIN WALL SEGMENT

“Change Your Life” Berlin Wall segment in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park, London, is a full-height Berlin Wall slab standing outside the Imperial War Museum in Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park, painted with a distorted face and the words “CHANGE YOUR LIFE.” The graffiti is by Jürgen Grosse (“Indiano”); the piece was taken from Leuschnerdamm, Kreuzberg, and entered the IWM collection shortly after the Wall came down (1991). It’s become one of London’s best-known Wall fragments, frequently photographed in situ.

The slab appears as the backdrop for Napalm Death’s band photo on the back cover of the 1992 classic album “Utopia Banished”. The photo was taken by Matt Anker.
