The Rock Pub is Bangkok’s “House of Rock” since 1 March 1987: a low-ceiling, brick-and-poster live room beneath Ratchathewi BTS that runs bands every night, from classic rock to thrash and extreme metal. Over the decades it’s hosted international heavies (e.g., Sodom, Doro, Exodus, Napalm Death) alongside a rota of tight house bands, surviving the 1997 crash on scene loyalty and earning cult status for sweatbox, up-close shows. Family-run and proudly old-school, it remains the city’s default answer to “where’s the metal tonight?”.
