Calabouço Rock Bar is Rio’s lifer rock/metal clubhouse in Vila Isabel: two floors with a mezzanine, a punchy little stage and a night-owl rhythm that flips from mid-week karaoke/quiz nights to packed cover/tribute bills and scene parties on weekends. It’s loud, friendly and proudly old-school—cold beer, burgers, sing-along anthems—and the room’s sweatbox scale (roughly 200-cap) keeps bands and crowd face-to-face.
