Blårock Café is Tromsø’s cult rock bar and small gig room—multi-level, loud, and packed with posters, flyers and memorabilia. The legendary rock pub was founded in 1991 in Tromsø in the northern part of Norway. The ground floor runs as a bar/burger hangout with a steady classic-to-heavy soundtrack; upstairs flips to DJ nights, release parties and intimate shows that put the crowd right on the monitors. It’s a true northern-Norway hub: touring bands drop in, locals treat it as the pre/post-gig meeting point, and the walls read like a mini history of rock culture in the Arctic city. Here you can eat burgers like Monster Magnet, Elvis, Motörhead, Dead Kennedys and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, or maybe a salad like Ramones and The Clash. There is also a small stage at Blårock where bands like Oslo Ess, Ondt Blod, Supersuckers and Black Debbath have performed.
