CHISLEHURST CAVES

Chislehurst Caves are a series of intersecting man-made tunnels and caverns covering some 22 miles in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley. From the mid-13th to early 19th centuries the “caves” were created from the mining of flint and lime-burning chalk.

In 1988 Iron Maiden recorded the second half of the “Can I Play with Madness” music video in the caves.

In 2008 Cradle of Filth recorded the music video for “Honey And Sulphur” in the the caves.

In the 50s and 60s Chislehurst Caves was used as a rock venue, where famous artists as Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones performed in the caves.
