CLASH CITY ROCKERS BAR

Clash City Rockers Bar was a punk and rock bar in central Montevideo, Uruguay. Opened in 2007, it became one of the city’s best-known alternative rock spots and took its name from “Clash City Rockers” by The Clash.

The bar had a strong punk, post-punk and rock’n’roll identity, with music, drinks, late-night parties and live bands forming central parts of its character. Its atmosphere was often described as chaotic, authentic and closely connected to Montevideo’s underground nightlife.

Clash City Rockers Bar closed in April 2026 after almost 19 years of activity. It remains part of Montevideo’s rock history as one of the city’s recognisable alternative nightlife institutions from the 2000s and 2010s.
