Dag Stokke was born on 27 April 1967 in Gjøvik, Norway. He was best known as TNT’s longtime live keyboard player and studio contributor, a role he held for more than 20 years. Beyond TNT, he worked as a sound engineer and producer, and was highly respected in the Norwegian rock scene for his dedication both on stage and behind the mixing desk.
Stokke lived in Gjøvik, where he remained closely connected to the local community while also touring internationally with TNT. His playing added depth and atmosphere to the band’s live shows, making him an integral part of their sound even if he was not always in the spotlight.
Dag Stokke passed away on 27 April 2011, on his 44th birthday, after a battle with cancer.
He is buried at Vardal Church Cemetery in Gjøvik, Norway — the town where he lived, and where fans and family can still visit his final resting place.
