Good Time is a rock and metal pub in Mainz, Germany. Located in the Bleichenviertel area of the city centre, it opened in 2001 and describes itself as a “Dart & Rock Pub”.
The pub has the feel of a traditional German rock-kneipe, with beer, whisky, darts, loud music and a local late-night crowd. The walls include posters from Wacken Open Air and bands such as Ozzy Osbourne and Motörhead, while several Motörhead shirts are also used as decoration.
Motörhead and Lemmy have a particularly strong presence in the interior. Among the wall art are parody versions of famous religious paintings, including Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” with Lemmy replacing Adam, and Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” with Lemmy placed in the central Jesus position. Another unusual detail is a sculpture of an angel holding two bottles of Jack Daniel’s. The pub also has electronic dartboards, fitting its “Dart & Rock Pub” identity and old-school drinking-bar atmosphere.
