Hard Rock Cafe Lisbon is a branch of the international Hard Rock Cafe chain in central Lisbon, Portugal, close to Restauradores Square. The restaurant follows the familiar Hard Rock Cafe format, but the Lisbon branch stands out through its music memorabilia, especially the material connected to Portuguese metal.
The most important part of the collection is tied to Moonspell, one of Portugal’s most influential metal bands. The display includes several Moonspell-related objects, including a stage costume worn by Fernando Ribeiro, a cymbal, a guitar and other band memorabilia. This gives the Lisbon branch a stronger local metal connection than many Hard Rock Cafe locations.
The collection also includes other hard rock and metal-related items, such as a football used by Soulfly, a guitar connected to Dan Spitz of Anthrax, a drumhead connected to Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe and a guitar connected to Jay Yuenger of White Zombie. Together with the Moonspell display, these objects make the Lisbon branch more interesting for its heavy music memorabilia than for the restaurant itself.
