Hells Bells Rockin’ Pub in Prague is a world-famous metal cellar in Smíchov’s Anděl pocket: brick arches, band posters, a thumping PA and an all-heavy soundtrack from classic to extreme. It runs true late hours (most days to 03:00), with a loyal regulars’ crowd, visiting band after-parties and the odd in-house micro-fest crammed into the room. House quirks: 18+ only, no smoking inside, cash-only bar, and occasional own-brand pours (beer, slivovice/mead) alongside Czech taps. A proper sweatbox metal den—tight, loud, friendly, and very Prague.
The pub is featured in the documentary called “Anvil: The Story of Anvil”, where Canadian heavy metal band don’t get paid, and gets in a huge argument with the owner.
