Hellsinki Metal Festival is a metal festival in Helsinki, Finland. It takes place at Helsinki Ice Hall, known locally as Nordis, and has established itself as one of the main dedicated metal festivals in the Finnish capital. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 7–8 August 2026.
The festival was founded in 2023. It presents a broad metal profile rather than focusing on a single subgenre, with line-ups that combine Finnish and international bands from across heavy metal, extreme metal and related styles.
Bands performing at the festival includes acts such as Black Label Society, Carcass, Bloodbath, Blackbraid, Accept, Doro, Blind Guardian, Paradise Lost and Eluveitie, reflecting a mix of classic heavy metal, death metal, folk metal and other branches of the genre. As a city festival held close to central Helsinki, it differs from more remote open-air events and forms part of the capital’s summer festival calendar.
