Kniven is a dedicated metal bar in Oslo, closely associated with the city’s heavy music scene and often described as one of Oslo’s main hangouts for metal fans. Opened in 2013, it was founded by Dan Nordhagen and became known for a music profile centred on heavy metal and adjacent styles, with a compact, intimate bar setting rather than a full-scale venue. The bar has built a reputation as a late-night meeting point before and after gigs in the area, as it is close to venues like Rockefeller, Sentrum Scene, John Dee, Goldie, and Blå. Kniven also have a small stage in the basement that they share with the neighbor pub Revolver.
