Miika Tenkula’s grave is located at Kirkkosaari Cemetery in Muhos, near Oulu. Tenkula (1974–2009) was the lead guitarist and main songwriter of Sentenced. He passed away at his home in Muhos on February 18, 2009, due to a genetic heart condition. His headstone is a large natural stone with a cross and a bronze guitar relief. Visitors are asked to pay their respects quietly and only during cemetery hours.

An open memorial was held at Club Teatria in Oulu on April 18, 2009 – the very same venue where Miika Tenkula and Sentenced performed their final concert before disbanding in 2005.
