Monument 031 is a concert venue and club at Stålverksgatan 6 in the Ringön industrial district of Gothenburg, Sweden. Opened in autumn 2023, it occupies around 1,200 square metres inside a converted industrial warehouse and has a capacity of approximately 600 people. The building contains two stages, three bars, a kitchen, seating areas and an outdoor service area with room for around 150 people.

The venue was several years in the making. Plans for a new space on Ringön existed before the COVID-19 pandemic, but the project was delayed, and in March 2021 a neighbouring office building connected to the team was destroyed by fire. The name Monument was chosen afterwards as a reference both to what had been lost and to the new venue that eventually emerged from the project. The team behind it came from Gothenburg’s established bar, club and concert scene.

Heavy music has been a major part of the programme from the beginning. Bands appearing at Monument have included Carcass, Vader, Craft, Ulcerate, Rotten Sound and The Sword, followed by later bookings such as Sunn O))), Biohazard, Rivers of Nihil, Discharge, Panzerfaust and Godhead Machinery. The venue has also become a regular home for metal festivals and multi-band events, including Göteborg Extreme Sounds, Hellraiser Metal Fest, I Scream Metal Fest and The Abyss Festival. The programme also extends into punk, alternative rock, electronic music, hip-hop and club nights.

Much of the industrial character of the building has been retained, with the large warehouse spaces adapted for concerts rather than completely transformed into a conventional nightclub. Alongside the two concert rooms, Monument has an arcade area with pinball, air hockey, basketball and boxing machines, giving the venue a more relaxed social area away from the stages.
