Music from “The Elder” is the ninth studio album by American rock band Kiss, released on November 10, 1981, by Casablanca Records. It was the first Kiss album not to feature an image of the band; instead, the front cover shows a wooden door with a knocker and a hand reaching out toward it. For years, the door was rumoured to be located at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church in New York City, but it was actually a custom-built prop created for the photo shoot. However, the church doors appear nearly identical and were most likely used as the model for constructing the prop — the only difference being the absence of the knocker.
