Parkteatret is a live venue in Oslo, Norway. It was originally the old cinema in Grünerløkka, from 1907 called Grünerløkkens Kinematograf and later Grünerløkkens Verdenstheater. The facade was redesigned in 1922 and given a new name – Parkteatret. The fine neon sign was put up in the 1960s. Parkteatret Scene has established itself as one of the most popular concert venues in Oslo, both for the audience and artists. The atmosphere here is unique, with good sound and fantastic proximity to the stage, thanks to the characteristic sloping floor dating back to Parkteatret’s time as a cinema.
