The famous Quiet Riot- and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist, Randy Rhoads, grew up in Valley Village in North Hollywood in Los Angeles. Sadly he died in a plane crash while on tour with Osbourne in Florida in 1982. Despite his short career, Rhoads is regarded as a pivotal figure in heavy metal. Randy’s mother opened a music school at their home called Musonia School of Music in 1948. Today it is run by Randy’s brother, Kelle Rhoads. The school offers guitar, piano, drums, bass guitar, and voice lessons for individuals. It also offers tours for Randy Rhoads fans to visit and see many of his old belongings that are still in the school today.
