Rock N Roll Ribs is a heavy metal-themed barbecue restaurant at 4651 State Road 7 in Coral Springs, Florida. Opened in December 2009, it was founded by long time Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain together with guitarist and restaurateur Rick “Moby” Baum and longtime friend Mitch Tanne. McBrain and Tanne remain closely associated with the business, which combines an American barbecue restaurant with a large collection of Iron Maiden and rock memorabilia.
The idea grew out of McBrain’s enthusiasm for American barbecue, particularly baby back ribs, developed during years of touring in the United States. McBrain and Baum had experimented with ribs and sauces at private gatherings before deciding to open a restaurant. Rock N Roll Ribs began serving customers in December 2009, followed by an official grand-opening celebration on 14 February 2010 featuring a live performance by McBrain Damage with McBrain himself on drums.
The Iron Maiden connection is visible throughout the interior. The walls are covered with band memorabilia, photographs, instruments and other items connected with McBrain’s career, alongside broader rock and metal decoration. Fans have travelled to Coral Springs specifically to see the collection, and the restaurant has become a familiar stop for Iron Maiden followers. Rock and metal music and videos are also a regular part of the atmosphere.
Iron Maiden references extend to the menu, with items such as Aces High Fries, the Final Frontier Dog, Moonchild Mahi, Powerslave Slaw and When the Wild Wind Blows Beans. Trooper beer is also served. Barbecue remains at the centre of the menu, particularly baby back ribs, spare ribs, pulled pork and chicken. In 2012, Broward-Palm Beach New Times named Rock N Roll Ribs the winner of its Best Ribs award.
The restaurant has also developed a tradition of anniversary concerts and special events. McBrain has repeatedly performed Iron Maiden material there with Titanium Tart, while anniversary celebrations have brought in other musicians from the hard rock and metal world. Guests over the years have included former Judas Priest singer Tim “Ripper” Owens, Anthrax vocalist Joey Belladonna, drummer Carmine Appice and guitarist Pat Travers. The 16th-anniversary celebration in December 2025 again featured McBrain performing Maiden songs alongside several local bands.
More than fifteen years after opening, Rock N Roll Ribs remains at its original Coral Springs location. With McBrain still closely involved, the restaurant combines barbecue with a sizeable collection of Iron Maiden memorabilia, band references throughout the premises and occasional live performances, giving it a direct and lasting connection to the history of one of heavy metal’s biggest bands.
