Satan’s Hollow is Manchester’s cult rock/metal club with a one-of-a-kind “in-the-round” layout: a circular floor encircled by pillars so the crowd wraps the stage/DJ booth 360 degrees. Inside it’s pure theatre—gargoyled columns, gothic flourishes and the venue’s infamous horned statue looming over the booth—built as a purpose-styled alt club at the turn of the millennium. Programming flips between metal, pop-punk/alt nights and live bills, giving the room a sweat-box, crowd-on-the-monitors energy when it’s full. Long-time regulars rate it for the distinctive décor, the communal sing-alongs and that “only-in-Manchester” vibe.
