SOUND CITY STUDIOS

Sound City Studios is a recording studio in Los Angeles, California, known as one of the most successful in popular music. The complex opened in 1969 in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Some of the most famous metal and hard rock records that was recorded at Sound City Studios: Dio’s “Holy Diver”, Ratt’s “Out of the Cellar”, Saxon’s “Crusader”, Loudness’ “Thunder in the East”, Nirvana’s “Nevermind”, Rage Against the Machine’s “Rage Against the Machine”, Green Jellÿ’s “Cereal Killer”, Slayer’s “Divine Intervention”, Bruce Dickinson’s “Accident of Birth” and “The Chemical Wedding”, Slipknot’s “Iowa”, System of a Down’s “System of a Down”, Metallica’s “Death Magnetic”, and Mastodon’s “The Hunter”.
