ST. JULIAN’S

St. Julian’s is a coastal town in northeastern Malta with around 14,000 residents, set between Sliema and Pembroke and best known as one of the island’s main nightlife and entertainment areas. Once a small fishing village around Spinola Bay, it has grown into a busy hotel, restaurant and bar district, with Paceville forming Malta’s densest late-night zone. The waterfront is the main draw, running from Balluta Bay and Spinola Bay to Portomaso Marina and St George’s Bay, with promenades, sea views, traditional boats and modern high-rise development side by side. Key sights include Spinola Palace, the Balluta Buildings, the parish church overlooking the bay, and the Portomaso and Mercury towers, two of Malta’s tallest landmarks. Getting around is straightforward by bus, taxi or on foot along the coast, with Valletta, Sliema and Malta International Airport all within easy reach.
