Tøjhuset is a live music and cultural venue at Gothersgade 34 in central Fredericia, Denmark. The concert hall has a capacity of around 400 standing or 200 seated spectators. Its programme covers rock, metal, hardcore, pop, folk, blues, jazz and other genres, alongside comedy and spoken-word events. Tøjhuset is operated together with the larger Eksercerhuset venue, with the two stages presenting around 200 concerts and other events each year.

The building dates from 1853 and was originally constructed as a sugar refinery by German businessman Diedrich Hermann Krache. The business lasted only two years, and in 1862 the property was taken over by the Danish military. It initially served as an artillery store before becoming a depot for infantry uniforms and equipment, a function it retained until 1982. This military use gave the building its present name, Tøjhuset. The building was listed for preservation in 1983.

Local music organisations began arranging concerts in the empty building during the early 1980s, although initial plans for a permanent venue were abandoned when Fredericia Municipality concentrated its cultural activities at Det Bruunske Pakhus. Tøjhuset was instead renovated for offices in 1986. The municipality later acquired the property, and it officially opened as a concert venue on 5 June 1998, initially with a strong emphasis on classical music. As Det Bruunske Pakhus became too small for the city’s growing music scene, more of its activities were transferred to Tøjhuset. Following a major renovation, the building reopened on 1 January 2017 with the broader musical profile it has today.

The concert hall retains much of the character of the historic building and includes a main floor and balcony, while a separate café and bar can be used for smaller events. Volunteers play an important role in the operation, with around 150 involved across Tøjhuset and Eksercerhuset alongside professional staff and local cultural associations.

Rock, metal and hardcore are regular parts of the programme. Recent concerts have included Mercenary and Svartsot, while Tøjhuset is also home to the annual Support Our Scene festival, dedicated to hardcore, punk and metal. The 2025 edition featured Baest, Raging Speedhorn and Lifesick, while the eleventh edition in 2026 included Hoods, Eyes, Barcode and Unseen Faith. Other bookings range from progressive and traditional metal to death metal and hardcore, making Tøjhuset a regular stop for heavier music in Fredericia.
