Anthony Paul Mills was born on 7 July 1962 in Solihull, England, just outside Birmingham. He first gained recognition as the lead vocalist of the melodic rock band Shy, before later fronting TNT from 2006 to 2013. With his powerful voice and stage presence, he carried on the band’s legacy and left a strong mark on their history.
Beyond TNT, Mills was active in several projects, including Serpentine, and he remained a respected figure in the hard rock and melodic rock community.
In his later years, Mills lived in Norway with his Norwegian wife Linda. He passed away from pancreatic cancer on 18 September 2019, at the age of 57.
Tony Mills is buried at Tjøme Church Cemetery, Vestfold, Norway — a peaceful resting place by the sea, far from his birthplace in Solihull, but in the country he came to call home.
