Tjøme is an island and settlement in Færder municipality in Vestfold, Norway, with around 2,900 people in the main settlement. The island covers about 24.5 square kilometres and lies near the outer end of the Oslofjord, connected by road and bridges to Nøtterøy, Tønsberg, Brøtsø and Hvasser. Tjøme has long been associated with fishing, seafaring and coastal life, but became especially well known as a summer destination, with a large number of holiday homes and a population that increases considerably during the warmer months. The main landmark is Verdens Ende at the southern tip of the island, where smooth coastal rocks overlook the Skagerrak and a distinctive stone-built beacon from 1932 stands within Færder National Park. Tjøme Church, built in 1866 on the site of an earlier medieval church, forms the historic centre of the settlement. Tjøme was also an independent municipality until 2018, when it merged with Nøtterøy to form Færder municipality.
