Rock Imperium Festival is a rock and heavy metal festival held in Cartagena, Spain. The festival takes place at Parque El Batel, close to the Mediterranean Sea, the harbour area and the historic centre of the city, giving it a distinctive coastal setting in the Region of Murcia.
The festival started in 2022 and is built around classic heavy metal, hard rock, power metal, thrash, melodic metal and related styles. Its profile has a strong emphasis on major international names and traditional heavy music, with previous editions featuring artists such as Scorpions, Europe, Deep Purple, KISS, Judas Priest, Avantasia, Helloween, Doro, Emperor, Blind Guardian and King Diamond.
With its large international line-ups, traditional heavy metal focus and open-air setting by the old city and harbour, Rock Imperium Festival has become one of Spain’s most visible summer festivals for rock and heavy metal.
