Piranha Record & Book Store is an independent music shop in Porto, Portugal. Located in Centro Comercial Parque Itália, it opened in 1995 and has become one of Porto’s long-running specialist stores for alternative and underground music.
The shop focuses strongly on metal, hard rock, gothic, post-punk, industrial, 80s music, crossover and related styles. It sells and trades CDs, vinyl, tapes, DVDs, Blu-rays, books, magazines, fanzines, merchandise and limited editions, with both new and second-hand items in its catalogue.
Piranha Record & Book Store has a broad collector-oriented profile, with physical releases, printed material and underground music culture placed side by side. Together with shops such as Bunker Store, it forms part of Porto’s small but strong record-store scene for hard rock, metal and alternative music.
