Tokio Bar is a rock’n’roll bar in Aarhus, Denmark. Located on Skolegade in the city centre, it opened in April 2022 and forms part of one of Aarhus’ old central nightlife streets.
The bar has an American-style dive bar atmosphere, with rock music, drinks, beer, bourbon, dim lighting and a relaxed late-night setting. Its music profile covers rock’n’roll, 1980s rock, newer rock, country and folk, giving it a broader roots-and-rock identity rather than a strictly heavy metal profile.
The rock’n’roll character is visible from the street, where the windows carry the words “Beer – Booze – Rock N Roll”. Inside, Tokio Bar has a lounge area, a smoking room, table football and an Aerosmith pinball machine, adding to its casual bar and games-room atmosphere.
