Plekter Platebar is a record shop and bar in Drammen, Norway. Located in Tollbugata in the Strømsø district, it opened on 26 April 2025 and occupies the second floor of the building, with access through Plenty Snack Bar on the ground floor.
The concept combines record shopping with a small social bar setting. Customers can browse records, sit down with a drink and spend time in the room rather than simply entering, buying and leaving. Food and drinks are available through the connection with Plenty downstairs, while Plekter itself adds a music-focused second-floor space above the street-level snack bar.
The selection includes new and second-hand vinyl, CDs and music merchandise. Plekter covers a broad range of genres, but hard rock has its own section and metal releases regularly appear in the stock. The shop also buys used record collections, meaning the selection changes as second-hand titles arrive.
Music-related events are part of the activity at Plekter, especially record signings, meet-and-greets and extended-opening evenings. Norwegian punk band Laarhöne appeared for a signing on the shop’s opening day, and the shop has also taken part in Drammen’s annual Kulturnatt with evening opening while concerts and cultural events took place around the Strømsø area.
