Alcatraz is Milan’s big-box live club set inside a converted 1940s warehouse: over 3,000 m² across multiple rooms with a high main stage, muscular PA/lighting and several bars. Opened in 1998, it runs touring concerts on weekdays and flips to three-room club nights at weekends; standing capacity is quoted up to roughly 3,000–3,500 depending on configuration. For heavy music it’s a reliable mid-large stop (think modern metal and classic names), with fast turnarounds and a clear-sightline floor built for loud, high-energy shows. Many famous metal bands have performed at Alcatraz, like Obituary, Blind Guardian, Trivium, Mayhem, Emperor, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Carcass, and Behemoth.
